The long awaited Android 2.1 software update for the Motorola Backflip smartphone is finally making its way into the wild, it appears. Promised for the first time many months ago, the software update reportedly landed on a series of test devices, and should become generally available as soon as next week. It appears that a number of 1,000 Motorola Blackflip users who volunteered to test the software update already received it, and that the rest of them should see it available for them too, come November 9th.
According to a recent article on Engadget, some internal document that leaked from AT&T states that all markets will receive the solution next week, though no info on when the update process will end emerged.
